New Feature Alert: Reposting Assignments

It's the beginning of January and we already have a new Chalkup feature ready to roll.

Perhaps you’ve noticed our new assignment repost feature, which allows an instructor to quickly copy a previous assignment, edit as needed, and assign. This is a big time-saver for using and tweaking assignments based on section or reusing an assignment with a new class.

Here's how it works.

To use this feature, navigate to the “repost” option housed under the plus button on the left-hand side of Chalkup.

You’ll then be prompted to select the course in which your assignment originated.

Once you have the proper course selected, you’ll receive a list of all the assignments associated with that course. Select the assignment you’d like to duplicate and click “Reuse.”

Once you’ve selected an assignment, the standard assignment creation window will appear with all the information populated from the last time the assignment was used. You’ll be able to edit any of the information or attach any new documents, if desired.

Before you can assign, you’ll need to select the class to which you’d like to assign this work.

Once you hit “Assign” your students will be notified and the assignment will be added to your course calendar.
