Weekly EdTech Picks: Bill Gates on Empowering Teachers Through Software

This week, we were thrilled to read Bill Gates' thoughts on the way software is empowering teachers.

"These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about what teachers can do if they get new tools in their hands, especially if they have a say in what those tools look like." It's an incredibly thoughtful piece and worth the 10 minutes it will take you to read.

Naturally, our weekly rundown is also packed with good back-to-school reads, covering strategies for gettting to know students and reaching out to parents. We also threw in some tips for using Google Sheets and a rundown of library and librarian-focused blogs worth checking out.

Happy reading.
